Meet Our Founder

Tora L. Chrisentery is a dedicated educator with over 37 years of experience, having served as a Business Education Teacher, Assistant Principal, Curriculum Resource Teacher, and Academic Chair.

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she is a graduate of Capitol High School and Southern University and A&M College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Education, a Master’s in Secondary Education, and additional certification in Educational Leadership.

Tora credits her grandmother, Lena Clifford Robinson, as her greatest role model. Her grandmother instilled in her a strong spiritual foundation, emphasizing the importance of faith, wisdom, and a personal relationship with God—values that continue to guide her life and work.

She remains committed to service and leadership. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and Living Faith Christian Center.

Tora is the founder of Penelope’s Grace, a nonprofit organization. The organization’s name is derived from the middle names of her two granddaughters. Penelope’s Grace is committed to equipping adults and high school students with the preparatory skills needed to obtain their high school diploma. In addition, the program offers a wide range of academic support services designed to promote educational success.
